Beavers are a source of valuable fur. Each beaver also gives around 10 to 25 cuts of meat. Beavers are a form of small game, and are not aggressive. They often are found in pairs.
Beavers can be compared to seals, another largely aquatic animal that can be difficult to hunt. Unlike seals, beavers make land further from the shore, making it easier to intercept them before they can get back into the water.
