Hazel grouse are a very small ground nesting bird comparable to the black grouse in size. Their eggs can be found under trees in the forest in the summer seasons.
It is preferable to trap them, as the effort of actively hunting them is generally not worth it unless desperate.
A hazel grouse carcass can produce between 1-2 cuts of meat, 10-20 feathers and 0.3 lbs of hide.
