The light-weight, multi-purpose knife is a welcome companion for a new character. Advanced explorers will doubtless develop a collection of more specialized knives, but the basic version has a wide range of functionality.
Knives determine damage using the Dagger combat skill, but this particular blade is almost useless in melee. It it better used in skinning, butchering, cookery and crafting.
