Villages are mostly made up of a few wooden buildings, storehouses and homes as well as a sauna while settlements are smaller and usually replace at least one of their storehouses with a kota. Some villages and settlements also contain an animal pen with at least one domestic animal relevant to the local culture inside.
There are usually a small number of non-hostile NPCs in a village or settlement that can be hired or traded with. Unlike the wandering woodsmen and adventurers that can be found in the wilderness, however, more will not spawn over time if they are killed.
Hostiles[]
Farther to the south-east of the the Finnish tribes, the Njerpez have a number of villages that they call home. The populations of these hostile villages are higher than even the large, walled Driikiläiset villages and in addition to the usual hunters and adventurers there are many warriors as well.
